Job description

🎯 Description:

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is seeking a Junior Program Manager to support the development and continuous improvement of housing programs. Reporting to the Housing Program Manager, the successful candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, and management of initiatives that address community needs, while ensuring effective operation and reporting of existing housing programs.

✅ Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of housing programs (rental and ownership)

  • Conduct research and propose improvements to housing initiatives

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (CMHC, banks, Indigenous communities)

  • Participate in the development of financial literacy programs for clients

  • Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with standards

  • Coordinate demographic studies and needs assessments

  • Liaise with Finance, Legal, Public Relations, and other MCK units as needed

  • Help identify and apply for funding opportunities

  • Support budget preparation and program rate recommendations

💰 Salary:

$58,227.00 to $65,773.50 per year

🕒 Hours of Operation:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
37.5 hours/week

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Social Work plus 2 years of relevant experience
    OR
    DEC in Business Administration or Social Services plus 3 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in residential housing program development (asset)

  • Knowledge of Kahnawà:ke’s housing policies and procedures (asset)

  • Strong communication, project management, and budgeting skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Awareness of Kahnawà:ke community needs and context

  • Bilingualism (English-French) required; knowledge of Kanien’kéha is an asset

  • Valid Quebec driver’s license (asset)
