🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is seeking a Class II Cook to manage the kitchen operations at its Adult Education and Vocational Training Centre in Inukjuak. You’ll play a key role in supporting staff and students daily in a dynamic northern environment.
✅ Responsibilities:
Manage the kitchen budget, pricing, and supply orders
Prepare nutritious, balanced menus
Cook and serve meals for staff and students
Keep inventory of food and supplies
Ensure proper rotation and usage of provisions
Receive deliveries and manage food storage
Perform other duties as assigned by the Centre Director
💰 Salary:
26.57 $/hour
38.75 hours/week
Full-time seasonal position
Start Date: August 2025

Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications:
Diploma of Vocational Studies in Institutional Cooking or equivalent recognized diploma
Valid MAPAQ food safety certificate
Fluency in at least two (2) of the three (3) working languages: Inuktitut, French, or English
Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets
The School Board may consider a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) without the above qualifications, provided they agree to undertake training determined by the Board.
