🎯 About the Role:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik. We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated instructor to join our team for a rewarding and culturally rich teaching experience.
🍽️ Program Objectives:
The Food and Beverage Services program trains students to:
Evaluate their suitability for the field and training process
Adopt a client-oriented approach
Prepare dining room and service areas
Explain menus and dishes
Take and process customer orders
Communicate in two of the three official languages (Inuktitut, English, French)
Perform billing and payment transactions
Recommend and serve wines and beverages
Provide banquet, informal, and formal service
Integrate effectively into the workplace
The school board reserves the right to waive the listed qualifications for beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA), provided they agree to complete training determined by the board.
💰 Salary / Classification / Benefits:
Salary range: $46,527 to $92,027 per year, based on experience and qualifications (pro-rated to the task).

Required experience and qualifications
✅ Requirements:
Proficiency in two of the three official languages of the school board: Inuktitut, English, and French
Experience in adult education
Experience teaching in multi-level classrooms
💡 Assets:
Professional experience in hotels or restaurants
Teaching experience in English and French as a second language
Familiarity with the Moodle platform
