Instructional Content Developer – First Nations Community Carpentry Programs

Travel to various First Nations communities across Quebec
🎯 Description
The CSPNÉA is seeking one or more professionals to develop tailored instructional materials for community-based carpentry programs. These programs enable learners to build and repair homes, sheds, and other structures for their communities. The project aims to create visual, hands-on learning content that meets local needs and can be shared across multiple communities.
✅ Responsibilities
Develop step-by-step learning materials in collaboration with learners and instructors from the communities.
Work closely with communities to ensure content aligns with local needs and program requirements.
Provide guidance on the best ways to share instructional materials between communities.
Support the design and optimization of teaching methods suited for community-based programs.
💰 Compensation
To be specified in the candidate’s fee proposal
📄 Employment Status
Fixed-term contract – approximately 6 months
Project start: early 2026
Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Required Qualifications
Recognized experience as a carpentry-joinery instructor.
Strong understanding of the Quebec MEQ carpentry program and skill development.
Proven experience in developing instructional content for carpentry training.
Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
In-depth knowledge of First Nations cultures and adult education in Indigenous community settings.
