Fish Processing Labourer Team Lead
Job description
Main Duties:
• Team Leads perform the same duties as their co-workers while paying particular attention to quality control and productivity on the various production lines.
• Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels.
• Transport seafood products using carts to various work areas.
• Prepare ice for unloading operations.
• Receive, sort and clean seafood products according to species, quality and established standards.
• Prepare products for packaging or freezing.
• Place products on conveyors, in baskets or on pallets as directed.
• Weigh, label and move production batches.
• Transport supplies, bins, containers and packaging materials.
• Clean equipment, tools, containers and work surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, walkways and storage areas.
• Follow all hygiene, sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Perform all other duties related to seafood processing.
