🎯 Description :
JCCBI is seeking an Engineer for its Diagnostics and Planning Division (temporary, 18 months). The role involves asset inspections, structural diagnostics, master planning, and project planning for major maintenance and development of Québec’s road-traffic infrastructure. The Engineer ensures quality, compliance, and coordination with internal teams and external consultants while contributing to the ten-year asset management plan.
✅ Responsibilities:
Inspections, Diagnostics, and Master Plans (50%)
Conduct field visits, asset inventories, and review documentation.
Develop annual and ten-year program for deliverables in alignment with internal obligations and budget planning.
Manage and execute professional service contracts with internal stakeholders and Senior Coordinator, Lead Civil Structural Engineer (CSE).
Define service deliverables, standards, and contract reference terms.
Review deliverables for quality, analyze reports, and recommend actions.
Facilitate corporate decision-making balancing performance, costs, and risks.
Track consultant payments, additional work authorizations, and deliverables completion.
Contribute to quarterly asset management summary reports.
Ten-Year Project Planning (50%)
Maintain knowledge of specific asset locations through field visits and documentation review.
Group project investment needs by type, location, and timing.
Develop and maintain asset risk management analyses.
Prepare and update project briefs, including cost estimates.
Lead planning workshops with internal teams and Asset Management technical committee.
Ensure alignment of stakeholders on strategy for asset management.
Monitor current projects, coordinate future projects, and launch prefeasibility studies.
Oversee communications and planning coordination with partners and stakeholders.
💰 Salary:
$57,582.45 to $132,428.42 per year, depending on experience.
Required experience and qualifications
⭐ Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering.
Candidate for engineering profession (CEP) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Access, Word, Outlook.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and inspection practices.
Fluency in written and spoken French; good oral and written English.
Assets:
Familiarity with standards for inspection, evaluation, design, and construction of bridges, civil engineering, and road structures.
