Starting salary: To be determined according to the current salary scale (between $62,338 and $90,340)

Your day-to-day
* You will be responsible for assessing the residential energy efficiency needs of First Nations communities, updating the needs assessment, and identifying the main barriers to energy accessibility for low- and middle-income households.
* You will also be responsible for designing and developing tools, guides, and methodologies tailored to the specific realities and contexts of Indigenous communities, with the goal of strengthening local capacity and sustainably improving the energy performance of housing. Finally, you will be tasked with mobilizing local stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and establishing dedicated channels to support the energy transition.

Main responsibilities
* Identify the project’s key components through an analysis of the needs and interests of First Nations communities, with a focus on community priorities, risk anticipation, and leveraging opportunities
* Actively participate in drafting project proposals and funding applications
* Carry out the project and ensure the progress of activities by developing tools and maintaining follow-up with partners (such as meetings, events, etc.)
* Develop a detailed work plan and timeline, and ensure they are followed by optimizing the use of available resources and monitoring costs in accordance with established procedures
* Prepare regular progress reports outlining project outcomes and ensure effective follow-up once the project has been completed
* Always ensure high-quality work, with a focus on achieving the results expected by our First Nations partners
* Conduct ongoing environmental scanning and information monitoring throughout the project

Required experience and qualifications

Do you have what it takes?
* Experience or knowledge in energy efficiency, housing, or energy-efficient renovations
* Undergraduate university degree or a combination of academic training in environmental science, energy efficiency, housing, or a related field
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience
* Availability to travel 1 to 2 times per month across Quebec and to First Nations communities
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, both in French and English
* Experience working with an Indigenous organization or First Nations communities (major asset)
* Experience in education, knowledge transfer, or the development of guides and tools (asset)
* Knowledge of an Indigenous language (asset)
