🎯 About the Role:

Are you passionate about improving education through technology while working in a culturally rich and dynamic environment? Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the school board serving the 14 Inuit communities of Nunavik, is seeking an Educational Technology Pedagogical Consultant to support and guide schools in implementing, enhancing, and evaluating second-language programs and classroom practices.

✅ Responsibilities:

  • Develop culturally relevant teaching and learning resources focused on Inuit perspectives;

  • Train and support teachers and pedagogical consultants in the use of educational technology (virtual classes, videoconferencing, etc.);

  • Act as liaison between the IT department and the Educational Services teams regarding educational technologies;

  • Promote and support our competency-based learning program;

  • Maintain and track inventory of educational technology equipment in schools;

  • Collaborate with education staff to support high-quality, culturally meaningful instruction;

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required experience and qualifications

🎓 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field;

  • Legally qualified to teach in the province of Québec;

  • Teaching experience (experience in the North is an asset);

  • Proficiency in at least two of the following working languages: Inuktitut, French, English;

  • Strong digital literacy and comfort with educational tools;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;

  • Collaborative, supportive, and resourceful mindset;

  • Knowledge of Inuit culture is a strong asset;

  • Knowledge of Inuktitut is considered an asset;

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to Nunavik communities.

💰 Salary & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range: $49,456 to $92,027, depending on qualifications and experience (as per SPPENOM union collective agreement – job class 2104)

  • 20 vacation days/year + 2 weeks paid holiday leave
