Job description

🎯 Description:

The Development Manager is responsible for managing and developing an effective and sustainable fundraising plan to support the strategic and operational goals of the organization. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with donors and funding partners.

✅ Responsibilities:

  • Administer a multi-year fundraising plan

  • Manage grant applications, subsidies, and fundraising initiatives

  • Record donations, issue receipts, and maintain donor databases

  • Plan and implement fundraising campaigns, annual drives, and special events

  • Draft and submit grant proposals

  • Promote fundraising events through media and social platforms

  • Supervise volunteers and support staff involved in fundraising efforts

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Human Relations, or a related field with at least 3 years of experience, or

  • College diploma (DEC) in Social Sciences, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English (knowledge of Kanien’keha and French is an asset)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fundraising software

  • Proven ability to draft funding and grant proposals

  • Leadership, business acumen, and networking skills
