Job Description for Cook
Ability to make Kimchi
Prepare and make the ingredients for different types of Korean side dishes (Ban Chan);
Prepare different types of ingredients and rolls for Kimbap (Korean sushi) for a light dinner menu;
Clean and inspect the kitchen and food service area.
Job Description for Assistant Cook
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and other ingredients
Assist in preparing sauces, marinades, and Korean side dishes (banchan)
Support chefs during cooking and packaging of ready-made meals
Clean kitchen surfaces, tools, and equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Receive and store deliveries properly
Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned
Required experience and qualifications
Job qualifications for Cook
Educational level: Secondary – General Course (Diploma) or Vocational school diploma / Certificate
Minimum 7 to 11 months experience in Asian cuisine
Must have experience in Asian or Cookery Certificate or Diploma holder in Asian Cuisine
Languages asked for: French or English
Salary offered: according to experience of: $16.10 to $35 – per hour
Work Hours: 30–40 hours/week
Job qualifications for Assistant Cook
Educational level: Secondary – General Course (Diploma)
Minimum 6 months of experience in food preparation or kitchen work
Languages asked for: French or English
Interest in Korean cuisine and willingness to learn traditional techniques
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
Punctual, cooperative, and team-oriented
Food handler certification is an asset
Salary: Starting at $16.10 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and demonstrated skills.
Work Hours: 30–40 hours/week
