🎯 Description:
Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI), the school board serving 14 communities in Nunavik, is seeking a Centre Director for Tarsakallak School. As the primary administrator in the community, you will oversee the management of the school, residences, and related services while fostering strong community ties and implementing the school board’s policies.

✅ Responsibilities:

Implement school board policies and local guidelines
Serve as liaison between the community and the school board
Oversee the organization and management of facilities: school, residences, workshops, warehouse, and equipment
Act as secretary-treasurer of the local education committee
Supervise, manage, and support staff under your responsibility
Ensure the organization and management of educational activities and school operations in the community

💰 Salary:
$100,606 to $134,139 per year, depending on qualifications and experience

Required experience and qualifications

⭐ Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in administration or education
Fluency in Inuktitut and either English or French
At least three (3) years of relevant experience in administration or education
Knowledge of the Quebec school system and Chapter 17 of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (asset)
Permanent residency for at least 10 years in a Nunavik community
